2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission heads up on potential rust problem

I believe the problem with our Rams is that they are just primed sheet metal. At least GM uses galvanized sheet metal. I'm seeing lower door rot, yet the inside of the door is clean, like new, the rust formed in the fold at the bottom edge and worked it's way up.
