Be very carefull to route the wires under the base properly, if you don't, the base will pinch and cut the wires when you tighten the bolts.

And you'll keep blowing your IOD fuse. Possibly many times before you track down the problem. Ask me how I know.

Thanks for the tips guys. We're talking about the wires going through the center part of the bracket, down the door to the connector right? Or does it go down the door behind that bracket?

Joe one more thing to keep in mind. If you're not replacing the manual mirrors and are upgrading to them from the smaller power adjustable ones you'll need to buy the backing plates that are used with the towing mirrors from Dodge. They don't come with the aftermarket ones.

Actually, the PowerVisions I installed on my 2002 came with the steel backing plates.

I had bought some from a dealer on Ebay that were supposed to be power, heated, etc. They weren't heated and didn't come with the plates. I'm sending them back, just want to make sure i get the right ones this time. I don't MIND buying the plates separate but yeah you would expect a company to know they're required with those mirrors.

It's been a long time, but if I remember correctly, the wires go behind the bracket. But I really don't remember for sure.

Years back there was a pic someone posted that showed the correct way to route the wires so they wouldn't get cut, search for one of the older threads for it.
