Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) help!!! air leak from silver plate under injector lines

I did an air test today using a ferco because truck isnt making boost and upon listening for leaks there is air coming out of where stock fuel filter bolts were along that silver plate that runs under injector lines . What do i do. This has been an awful process nothing is goin right and its one thing after another. I just sent my edge box in to get re programmed because truck threw 0237 code i believe the other day and turbo isnt spooling. Also any one know how i can test to see if its fuctioning.

I get the idea that the stock fuel filter is no longer there. The bolts need to be replaced since that silver plate is the top of the intake manifold. If you didn't blow out the gasket you can probably replace the bolts with some sealant on the threads and be OK. If you blew out the gasket its a trip to Dodge or Cummins for a new manifold gasket.

im thinking the gasket is blown out im gonna try some sealant but dont think its gonna work would that cause the truck not to boost?

yes it's going to bleed off air under pressure. The bigger the leak the lower your boost pressure.

on this note. Ive always wondered the process or pain in the butt to change that basket. im assuming you have to undo all injectors, air horn. what else. can you just unhook injectors at the head and keep them bound togerther is there enough room to get the intake plate out.

i assume all line have to come off which isnt a big deal they come apart in two sets and i need new ones anyway .

If the bolts aren't there... those bolts are open to the manifold, so all the air that's in the manifold is trying to escape out those two unplugged bolt holes.

You dont have to undo all that to get it off just line brackets and you can get it to slide out the front. Haisley sells a real good gasket for that plate too.

The new gasket that Cummins sells is a good one - not the pink paper stuff that was OEM. The air horn gasket is also made out of the new material, should be re-usable several times.

Won't work with the amount of boost these trucks get. Buy the gasket from Cummins.
