again,i need help!:

last night i installed my new DDDII's and turbo life saver. after hooking everything back up, i couldn't start the truck and the check engine light came on. stupid me, i forget to plug back in the injection pump wiring!pluged that back in and she fired back up, but still the engine light stayed on. i also installed my turbo life saver last night. any ideas why my light is on?, or better yet, how to shut it off. thanks ... . james...

The bad news is...

You probably set a hard code on your ECM. Cycle the ignition switch 3 times and see if that shuts the light off. The good news is that the light should shut off after a number of uses. I've heard as low as 3 and as high as 10. There was just a post on this very subject. I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I was taking my EZ box off and cycled the ignition and on came the check engine light. It went off after I cycled the ignition 3 or 4 times. I didn't keep count. Your dealer will have to clear the hard code on the ECM, I believe.

John's right. At some point, you will probably have to have the fault cleared out of memory, but the light will go out if everything is OK.

You got a boost module on that truck, right? With DD2's you're definitely going to exceed the factory boost warning limit of 21 PSI. My truck has DD2's and I can routinely hit 31 PSI going up a hill with my foot in it, or 27-29 PSI on level ground.

The error code no doubt was set-off by the injection pump not being connected. You'll need to clear the code - the ignition cycling should do it, and I think disconnecting both batteries for about 40 minutes may work if the ignition cycling trick doesn't.
