I need some help from our tractor gurus here. I remarried about three years ago. My wife has a house that we are trying to sell. It is inconvenient to keep the grass cut twice a month during season and I am lazy too (the house is an hour away). I have two riding mowers (12 and 18 H. P. ) and I am killing them with the load. The house is on three acres and I need a small tractor with maybe a belly mower to cut the bulk of the yard and use the smaller riding mowers for the edges and smaller areas. I don't know if a bush hog will work well because of the swing with the deck. Now, I now as much about tractors as I do brain surgery, so keep that in mind. What should I look for or ask for when visiting local dealerships? I prefer used equipment as this is hopefully short term usage. What kind of money are we talking about spending? I tried searching online with little luck. I have found 1000's of used riding mowers, but like I said, I own two of those. Most heavy equipment dealers only have backhoes and loaders and skidders and trenchers. I don't want to remove the grass, only cut it to keep the house looking presentable. All help is appreciated!
