Looking for help on the color of the wire that is for the brights on 04. 5? Have installed the off road lights but want to tie into the brights for activation. Thanks

Any suggestions would be helpful

I can't say for sure if the 04. 5 and 05 is the same or not, but my 05 manual says the left side high beam wire on the back of the headlamp is White with a light green stripe.

This is from the 2004 Wiring Diagram manual from Dodge.com/bodybuilder, looks same as 2005 above.

Don't do it, the front body module turns on and off your high beams, and by putting an extra load on the wire you will mess with the computer. go to genios garage and buy the "bright box" to resolve your problem... you run the chance to fry your front power module

My 03 manual says same color and so must be same for 03-05

some of the wire color/code are the same between years, some are not so make 100% sure first before doing anything major... [i know tail light wires between 03 and 04 changed colors]

I added after market lights with a seperate switch and wiring, Mopar. I went to the parking light wire which also activates the fog lights. By using the parking light circuit I can use the fog lights hy or low beam.

I only made that statement because I have an 03 and 05 manual to confirm.

He is probably using that circuit to trip a relay which won't harm it, at least I hope he is.

I think this is way above a Chiefs level of competence! :-laf Better let one of us do the work. ;)

1- Locate truck in garage

2- If wifes car is in way, do it outside

3- find keys and use autostart, if all fails locate small hammer or coat hanger!

4- If keys are locked inside, get spare keys from locked glove box!

5- locate hood release( black thingy with picture of hood, underneath steering thingy between your legs)

6- Pull sharply towards seat, caution, this may cause popping sound! Check for hernia. If no blood, hood has been released.

7- Exit vehicle to open hood, if lost look in owners manual.

8- The hood is where the real mechanics do their work.

9- Please make sure the engine is not running, wheels chocked and parking brake on.

10- Turn high beams on and proceed to cut all wires leading to headlights until the highbeams go out. YOU FOUND IT!

11- Use mass amounts of duck tape to correct all your mistakes.

12- When finished, call Joel and Brent Oo.
