Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) HELP Leak at xfer case / transmission

I noticed her shifting tough when hot, crawled under and found a leak

where the xfer case meets the back of the NV5600.

Seems golden in color, think its transmission fluid.

What am I looking at? I am supposed to leave town tomorrow, towing a full load.

if it is indeed oil from the transmission, your looking at replacing your transmission output seal. I had to replace mine on my 5600. Its not to hard. The hard part is finding someone that has the seal instock. Mine was actually leaking that bad it started pushing transmission oil past my t-case input seal into the t-case. I changed oil in both of them.

Thanks. Is this something I can do, or do I need to pay a shop?

And is it something I can limp by on for 300 miles towing, and a few days of normal driving?

Also, and cost estimates would be lovely.
