OK guys I'm at a crossroads here. I've been considering selling my truck in favor of a new(er) half ton 4x4
Reasons to Keep Her:
1. I love the sound of my Cummins
2. It pulls like a freight train
3. I have replaced every wear part I know of except front-end stuff.
4. I get really good fuel mileage for the size truck I have (avg about 18 right now)
5. I like my truck
6. A new truck note will be $100 - $200 a month more than what I'm paying now.
7. New truck insurance should be higher
8. I have a lot of money invested in her with BOMB's
9. I'm upside down on my payments as it is
10. Won't be able to pull a cow/horse trailer anymore
Reasons to Sell
1. Would like to have a new truck
2. My truck has 164,500 miles and I'm worried that all hell is about to break loose with repairs.
3. #53 block
4. Repair totals for the last 6 months are: new VP, new LP, new clutch assy, new center carrier bearing for driveshaft for a total of about $3,500.
5. Being on unemployment sucks a fat hippo's sex organ
6. I miss the sound of a V-8 gas motor with pipes
7. I miss going mud riding
8. I miss being able to maneuver park with ease
I'm sure there are more pros and cons, but these are the most obvious and apparent to me as of now. I need some help fellas. Put yourself in my boots and tell me what you would do in this case. Looking for advice from a group of folks that love their trucks as I love mine. If I'm going to sell then I need to make up my mind and do it. if I'm going to keep it than I need to quit thinking of a new truck until I get another good job and I can afford a new Cummins (obviously I'd rather have a new Cummins but, well, money makes the world go round and it's hard to do that on arm-chair money).
Thanks fellas (and ladies),
