Anybody Leave Their Truck Parked in the Sun Every Day?

I had my truck back for 4 days and it was stolen and stripped again. I bought an alarm and was going to have it installed the next day but I awoke to an empty driveway. The alarm has a starter kill however I would like to further insure that my truck does not dissapear again. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I also found out that you can start a dodge ram with channel lock pliers.

The auto lock brake petal device is crap it was totaly defeated.

I can't live without my truck :{

Time to move.

Seriously, the alarm will only make them speed up. Time to install some motion sensor lights around your place, maybe get a dog.

Man that is depressing. I walked out of my daughter's apartment a few weeks back and my truck was gone. I felt like someone suckerpunched me. Luckily it was the City of Chicago welcoming me to town and for a couple of hundred, I was able to bail Mighty Whitey out of car jail. I feel for ya and hope it works out. What part of the country do you live in?

When if you get it back, get the alarm done before sun down, also maybe add a hidden toggle to cut the cam sensor signal so even if they bypass the alarm and manage to get the starter working the truck will just crank with no pulse to the injectors. PITA though having to remember to toggle it off each time.

Where do you live and dose your truck have the gray or black key, was it locked??

Move to small town Montana, where guns outnumber people 12 to 1... . hmmmm, wonder why serious crime is low here? Maybe they figure a truck isn't worth their life?

Where was it the last time it was taken? Same driveway? You need to put your location in the post or sig.

Anyway, I would like to put my truck there tonight. Insured to the max and then I can pay off some debt from my wifes med school!

I know what you mean... . sometimes I really miss "home"

I keep our baby locked in the garage at night and my wife drives it to school everyday. So for the most part it is safe. Plus I have the Sentry security system.

Man that has to suck having your truck stolen, I can't imagine.

Damn thieves #@$%!

The Sentry Key system will defeat attempts to start your truck with a pliers or other physical means. If they want to steal it, they would have to tow it, and by using the parking brake and turning the front wheels you can make towing difficult (but not impossible). The EVS-II system was the best accessory money I've spent for the peace of mind it provides.

Gee, sorry to hear about your truck. I didn't think lightning struck twice in the same spot.

It would be nice to string the thief up by his toes, upside down and then give the kids a bat and blindfold and tell them it's a pinata.

Good luck on finding a third addition.

do like my brother's truck has, it has an air horn hooked up to the normal horn (not sure how i think probably a relay and something else) get a big air tank make sure there are no leaks make sure it's charged up before you lock it then if the alarm goes off some one is gonna hear it. I've set his off just when people were leaning on the front of the truck they got off the truck in a hurry and never got back on it. It is LOUD you could easily hear it in your house dead asleep at night... then run to the door with a loaded shotgun.

Tell us a little more about the EVS-II with IT-S you have listed in your sig, did you order your truck that way or ad it later?

be careful....

Just remember..... drag the body halfway through the front door before the cops arrive and run around screaming "I was afraid for my life, I was afraid for my life!!!!" too bad you can't shhot someone for JUST trying to steal your truck.

In all seriousness, is someone messing with this guy? Really, what are the odds of getting your trcuk pinched out of the driveway twice in 4 days? something else is going on here.

My truck was stolen again after it had spent 3 weeks at the body shop bieng rebuilt. I had it back for 4 days before it dissapeared again. All they want is the rims and tires and my sub wofer box.

First time there was no sign of forced entry. second time they broke a window and punched bolth doors. I think that they just threw a rock through the window to see if anything would happen. They stripped off the rims and set it on the brakes in north las vegas. In the process they set it down on the muffler and it actually put a huge dent in the body and pinch weld. Not a scratch on the muffler I was quite impressed at the strength of the 4" stock tube.

I can't fit the truck in my garage it is 7'3" tall and the home owners association won't let me build a garage next to the house. I think that I will at least keep it behind the gate next to the boat.

Dobermin puppy on the way

Honestly... get one of these...

There's something about a 110 lb Doberman that stands 6 ft tall on his hind legs, that keeps people away from my driveway.
