Hyper,

Is your airbag light illuminated? If it is you need a new clock spring.

HEMI,

I hope it ain't the clockspring. Damn near couldn't find one. When I did, I had to make my own left handed torx drive to install it.

On a more serious note.

Hyper, you didn't say if the cruise was still working or not. If it is, it's either the lamp or the PCM lamp driver has failed. If the cruise is not working, things can get a bit more complicated. It could be the switch on the steering wheel isn't closing, the PCM isn't getting the closure signal due to a broken wire, or the PCM has a malfunction.

If the cruise quit working, here is what happened to me... (on a Chev truck).

Brakelight was out on one side... cruise would not engage for anything. Someone at work told me I had a brakelight out, so I changed the bulb. Cruise worked fine. Cruise must sense power in that circuit. May be the same on Dodge.

I'd rather be... .
Cummin than Strokin.

Some circuits use the light bulb as a fuse, if they did this change the bulb and it should work.

You are saying I might have a tail light out? Why would dodge use this as a fuse? I will check because I really need my cruise to work. Dodge should have fused the cc like gm did in the 80's. Please keep offering me suggestions as I really need to find this.

Hyper... the chev I owned was an 89 3/4ton 4X4. The stoplight bulb affected the CC. It is worth a try, anyway. Only take a sec to see if your brake lights work!

ok I checked the brake lights and they all work. I rechecked the cruise and it started working again. I wonder what is going on?

hyper on your'e truck and most others the brake light switch also disconnects the cruise control when applied a faulty switch can cause the cruise control not to work. G ood luck.

I know the brake light switch disconects the cruise as does the clucth pedal switch. My problem was that I did not have any power going to the cruise control. I think it was my on off switch on the steering wheel as it started to work again today after a punched the button pretty hard. I guess I need a new one
