Need some practical advice picking the right shocks and steering stabilizer for my daughters 'new' truck. It's a 2007.5 quad cab with a 6" lift. I've never had a 'lifted truck' so I hate to tell her wrong. First, it has huge 325/65 r18 tires and will see little or no off-road use. I always use Bilstein shocks on my 2001 2500 quad cab but not sure what to recommend for her truck. I do get confused when looking at shocks, some say a 6" lift is only in front, 4.5" in back - help! Also, what would be a good heavy duty steering stabilizer with those tires - it's obvious when she drives that the stabilizer is not doing it's job. I've been searching the Forum and maybe just haven't searched on the right words. Any help is really appreciated this old timers confusion! Thanks

Let me just say I would not want my daughter driving a truck with a 6'' lift Too big of an increase in the center of gravity to be considered safe

Thanks for the advice Bob but the tiger is already out of the cage. I was hoping to get some practical advice on good shocks here, my daughter wants to go to Advance and see what the clerk recommends. I think Bilstein makes a good front shock but not sure about the back - all I can do is guess.

The only shocks that will make a significant improvement will be the large bore revalvable type,King or Fox being the front runners. You will be wasting your time with anything from a parts house

Great, just the info we needed - thanks. I'm sending my daughter down to 4 Wheel Parts in Raleigh tonight - they carry both brands.
