Sag, I believe they have performed that procedure along with Star instructing them to replace the HSM, it has made no difference. I also printed out what you PMed me and asked them to try that, again, no difference.
They have pulled other trucks off the lot (that are similiarly equipped) and looked at them as well, they all have the same version of software and they ALL have the same issues.

If yours has the same screen as Ram4Sam posted on page 1 it has the same problems as mine.
Also, on the Heated Steering wheel option, go to that screen and check the box for the heated steering wheel and let it sit there for approx 30 seconds, and see if it unchecks itself.

I am pretty sure that is how mine has always worked, thought something wasn't right but never really worried about it. Don't have much call for heated seat and steering wheel where I live..........My 8.4 had the 14-05-03 software when I got the truck, I updated a month or two ago.

Just a few random thoughts from working with quirky software from various vendors all damn day long........

(1) What happens if you check the box and then leave the screen instead of watching it uncheck after 20 seconds??? Is it assuming that you are an undecided truck owner after that time period and returns to the default???

(2) This latest update (not owning one I'm just looking at the screenshots) looks to me like an all or nothing choice, do you want the heated/cooled seats and heated steering wheel function with the remote start or not kinda' thing???

I deal with a GM system but Hoopty knows by the outside temperature what to do when remote starting. 40 degrees and below the drivers seat heat is on and the rear window defrost activates. I'm not sure what the threshold is for the cooled seats feature to activate. Wonder is RAM is trying to get to the same place???

So it would be feasible to think that either you want the feature or you don't.....just trying to think like a software guy...if that can be done.....without drugs...

I read about this problem before i upgraded. Sure enough the option was gone after the upgrade.I will probably regret that this winter. I upgraded because the Uconnect Assistant said there was a new version when i registered my system. Surly it was an oversight on the programer..Or maybe they identified a problem and removed it. I've been checking weekly for new updates.

Mike, one thing that is kinda bugging me is that i paid for these features and they were there when I bought the truck. Its something that I will use. The Laramie Package isnt a freebie. If Chrysler wanted to ADD features in an update thats fine, but to remove something that was bought and paid for without first advising the owner isnt right.
Add to all this the fact that RAM CUSTOMER CARE is the biggest bunch of incompetent idiots I have EVER tried to speak with!. Completely dysfunctional! I have had a CASE with Chrysler for almost a month, been thru three CASE MANAGERS, yet yesterday they had the nerve to ask me what the problem was with the vehicle..
there is NO WAY the manufacturer that I represent would EVER treat a customer like this!

Todd, does your truck have factory remote start and heated/vented seats? The line USED to read
AUTO ON COMFORT AND REMOTE START
It was where yours now reads AUTO ON COMFORT
If you have factory remote start and heats seats/steering wheel and ventilated seats, when you selected AUTO ON AND REMOTE START, there was a complete page of options to tune the seats, steering wheel, and remote start. Since the updates, there is only HEATED STEERING WHEEL on the next page and the box when checked unchecks itself. I attempted to exit the screen, save to a FOB etc... so far, no luck.
I have not found a way to select the seats on REMOTE STARTUP or on a startup from the drivers seat. These functions were in there when I purchased the truck and are no longer there.

OK, My 13 & 14 Chargers all Heat or cool with the Fob Ver 5.12 8.4N/RB5 (Dodge) , My 13 3500 & 14 3500 , My 14 1500 all behave the same way, I know its a lot of vehicles, But I own several business not sounding off just stating these all work the same With Ver 14.25.5 8.4N/RA4 (Rams) ,My Rams will used the comfort setttings even when I use Uconnect to start them.

My 13 and 14 Chargers Have Nav and Version updates available when I get some free I will update them Via WITech its much easier to use WItech then the USB port.

I've had heated seat and steering in the morning and vented seats late in the afternoon on the same Day, its only the Driver seat vented and Driver Seat/Wheel Heated. My guess is the heated Wheel seat comes on auto when below 40* and the vented seats above 75* anything temp in between nothing.

Thats not what I purchased and not what it clearly states in the owners manual and the uconnect manual.
When you put the newest software update in your RAM, even the random seat coming on lo on startup will disappear.

Agreed, mine will too. After starting the truck up I can go to the screen and select the cooled seat to come on. What is missing is the ability to program the UCONNECT to automatically start these functions up when I remote start the truck. Before the updates, I could program it to turn on heated or ventilated seats heated steering wheel when the truck is started up. No matter whether its a LOCAL start or REMOTE start. The software updates have removed these functions.

"When remote start is activated, the heated steering wheel, and driver heated seat features will automatically turn on in cold weather. In warm weather, the driver vented seat feature will automatically turn on when the remote start is activated. These features will stay on through the duration of remote start or until the ignition switch is turned to the ON position."

As TCDiesel had stated perviously..

So even though the option was in Uconnect v13..., and removed in version 14.25.05 It must have been automatic regardless..

is not automatic. UCONNECT and RAM both agree with me on that. They both agree the functions should be available as described in the recent edition of the owners manual as well. They cannot seem to get the left hand and the right hand to speak directly to one another on how to go about fixing it.
