Today, while I was pulling my empty utility trailer my gauge caught my eye and was reading 190* . I had only driven maybe 1 mile and not over 35 MPH and hot rodding. I continued to watch and I entered the interstate on ramp the gauge started going nuts. It would jump from place to place anywhere from 10 to 30* at a time. It would peg out then would immediately zero out  . Continued for about 5-7 minutes and then seemed to begin reading correctly. It read anywhere from 130-145* for the remainder of my around town trip.

My limited knowledge says that this will be either in a wiring connection or the sending unit box under the dash.

What do you guys think I should check first? BTW, the gauges are the new ISSpro.

thanks.

Yep ,

Not much to check there its either or . New gauges can fail .

Good luck.

Are the gauges a new install?

Mine did the same thing with the Isspro EGT gauge and my Trans gauge didn't work at all.

Isspro replaced both sending unit boxes at no charge. (these were also the new green lit ones) Now all is fine.

Worries me though that they are having so many problems with the boxes.

Yeah, these are somewhat of a new install. They've been in the truck for about a month, but I'm still on the same tank of fuel since I don't drive it that much. So they don't have a bunch of hours on them.
