I changed out my dead injection pump with a Piers high volume pump today. Things went pretty good. It isn't something I would like to do everyday. Number 6 HP line to the injector was a bear to get to. The steering wheel puller worked to pull the gear. For anybody else doing this I would add a 3/4" crows foot to the list of things you will need. I bleed the air and it started, run ruff and then smoothed out. Sounds real good. Took it for a test drive and could not get above 20 LBS boost and had high exhaust temperatures. I have an original TST level one boost box. RV injectors. 4" exhaust. AFE Intake filter, Fass, B&D exhaust brake and transmission mods. I have been getting 30 lbs of boost every since I put on the TST box. The TST box will not add fuel or boost. I have problems a couple of times before with the TST box with loose connections and blown fuses. Checked all that. Still won't add the fuel. Is there reason the TST box won't work with the high output pump? I would think the upgrade with the pump would be mechanical and the TST box with would be electronic. Does anybody know? Does anyone have any idea on what I can check? I ran through the check list on the TST have the yellow light but do not get the green light indicating it is adding fuel.
Thanks in advance.
