hemi blocks

Cummins is supposedly assembling Hemi crate motors now, after they fill some of the demand for complete assy's, the blocks will be availible as block only orders, w/all the inside info I see on TDR (cummins) has anyone heard or seen anything to confirm this? I have talked to Barton,Hensley,Moparts,Glendora,Landy, etc. no one seems to know. So how about it Cummins people? Thanks, Steve.

Cummins HAS been doing the assembly on the "crate" Elephant Motors and their attention to assembly detail is poor to say the least. I know a alot of guys who have purchased the motors and have had bigtime problems with them. Those who buy these motors and do not take them down and inspect them before installing them are asking for a problem down the road.



Now,if its a Elephant block you seek I may be able to scrounge up one from a buddy of mine,depending on what you would like to do with it. If its a big inch deal you want to build I know he has a 557incher for sale. Let me know if I can help... ... ... Andy

I am looking for a mopar performance std. hemi block w/hemi mnts. , preferably all standard in dimensions, I would consider the mega block but since I'm looking to build a 600-650hp 472 it's not really needed, since I'm building this one piece at a time for financial reasons the 557 is unfortunatly not an option, Iv'e heard the horror stories also but supposedly they've fixed the poor machining, mixed match parts,and sloppy shop practices of the first 2 runs of prod. sure they have. I just want a bare block. I like to have only myself to blame on FUBAR stuff as much as I can.
