Yesterday my fuel gauge suddenly went from 1/4 tank (actual level) to 7/8??? Is this a sign of a sending unit gone bad? I changed it once, about a year ago could it be bad again? Well at least I can try the "bed tilt" method this time. Tired of dropping the tank (and fuel all over myself). Thanks guys... .....

There are some instructions on how to fix the senders. I have it on my computer at home so can't post them at this time (at work). Maybe do a search, or perhaps someone else can post them. I have read that by doing the fix, the sender will last much longer than without the fix. Good Luck.

Hey hey, thanks for directing me to that info six shooter, going to give that method a try. It seems that my readings all went higher, empty is at half tank, 1/4 is at 3/4 and full is actually half tank??? Thanks again for the advice six... ... .

Just fixed mine the other day. Found a #2 bolt, washers, and nut at the local Ace hardware. 53 cents. Seeing my fuel gauge work again, after not for the past 5 years - PRICELESS. :D We'll see how long it lasts.
