Mike.

I like that :-laf when I go to the barn in the wee hours of the AM, it's really cold like that the snow is all crunchy it sounds like a marching band is following you to the barn.

My Ex BOSS and his wife have moved up here. They are True Born and raised Californians, he was walking with me to the barn one day and has been working on getting a coyote skin coat for his wife, I told him to walk quietly if he want's to surprise a coyote so he could shoot it, I look back at him because he had stopped with a :confused: look on his face. :-laf

He asked me another time Damn BIG how cold is it!!! Don't know Boss!! pull the head of your jimmy out for a minute and then thump it with your finger, if it falls off, DAMN COLD!!! :-laf

If I told ya that it was -25* would ya feel warmer for some reason?

Well we are getting an Artic Blast Tuesday Morning going to be in the high Twenties in the morning. I took two weeks off so 99 percent of the produce that did not sell is in the cooler. Most of it hardy enough to handle a few weeks in the cooler (apples, potatoes, onions, winter squash,citrus?,the perishable items I sold low or out of). Actually Dec. is my slowest of the year I would really like to close the whole month but they have new strawberry that they can pick in Nov.
Hopefully this Artic blast won't damage the crops to much it is alway colder on the west coast of Forida.

Yes. Crazy patterns! Yesterday the temps went up and it started raining. All the sidewalks and roads without fresh salt became skating rinks. The ambulances were busy with the slip n falls. The radio was blazing. Now it's 52* outside. The fog is thick and we have a wind warning. Here's a screen shot of the temp trend from my phone. Suppose to go from 50 to 8 in 12 hours.

Our High was 30 our low was 10 at 3am according to my weather station, BALMY compared to the rest, I see that some place in Minnesota was -55 time for an extra pair of warm undies ;)

-13 at 4:45 when I went out to start the truck and -30+ wind chill according to the weather app on the phone.

Same here more or less, -12 at 4am with windchill of -36 (I know, windchills are for sissies :-laf)
After being out in it from 4 am until about an hour ago, I'm sissified :{
It didnt get above 0 all day. We will see a handful of sub zero degree nights through the year but it is rare for it to not break 0 during the day.

I like to keep the house fairly cool most days. I walked in the door and went directly to the thermostat and cranked it up when I got home. I'm typing while leaning against one of our cast iron radiators.
