Mine's bigger than yours.....

Boy, I can sure smell the testosterone in the air! It seems like this has turned into a real d**k measuring contest... Eveyone thinks they have the biggest d**k until Digler comes along with his 12" and puts everyone to shame! As our buddy Rodney King once said: "Can't we all get along?" It seems like this is almost coming to blows. MAY MADNESS could very well live up to its name! It will be interesting... . :D :D

Well I guess since the Flowerpokes and Duralax can't measure up, we have to start beating on each other... ... ... ;) ;)

Somebody please take a video cam, pleeeeeaaaaase. :p  :p

The computer report is final!!

As I mentioned earlier in this tread, I had a renowned personal friend do a computer program , to determine the results of both Keith and Jim's Dyno information... .

The program, ran as expected, however, an error message kept appearing. . "Polygraph-Polygraph-Polygraph". Apparently, one more piece of information is needed to complete the run. unfortunally, I am unable to obtain this information from either Keith or Jim at this time.

Therefore, we will have to rely on the manual system, during May Maddness, which will be SAME PLACE, SAME DATE, SAME TIME and SAME DYNO. :D :D :D

You've got to love this... . Heber

Keith,

Ok, I have a Ford auto. Now, I don't know about where you are, but I have yet to see a Ford or any truck, for that matter, be interested in a Dyno, if that truck hasn't been even slightly modified.

Bob

Bob, please remember that we are a performance shop. When they come to us, many of them are stock... that's why they are at our shop. In this case, before and after dyno runs are performed... so we have to be able to compare them. Also, many trucks get our Therminator which does not remove the limiter.

Consistency is the name of the game in testing. Even though a truck might show a little higher number in 4th than 3rd if you had big HP, if you always run them in the same gear, you will have the consistency and repeatability you need for reliable results. A truck that shows more in 3rd than another truck, will show more in 4th than that same other truck in most cases.

Have a good holiday.

Ok... if someone can provide me a really argument to go, I'll come down with camera and video stuff and make video captures for anyone who wants them and burn 'em onto CD. HOWEVER...

May Madness overlaps our (wife and I) anniversary, so I'd need a REALLY good reason to drag her to clear down to Nevada - even better, a really good reason for HER to go. The wife just isn't all that interested in watching dyno runs, or sniffing diesel smoke... or hanging around car dealers for long periods of time. We don't gamble, drink, or otherwise do stuff Nevada is famous for... and I can't honestly say the scenery will do anything at all for her. It did not for me.

So, help me out, here... . I need some good excu... reasons... OK?

well....

You could just go for the dyno day, and then tour the rest of the days.

The only reason I can think of would be the Hoover Damn.

Anybody got any else.

Andrew

P. S. Stop starting stuff on other web sites... ;)

What's to tour? (besides hoover darn)

BTW, it's too much fun to give 'em a poke in the ribs every now and then to not do it... .

:D

just trying to help....

Just trying to think of reasons to go man.

It is fun to stir up those "other" guys, I just don't have the guts to do it. I guess that your almost as bad a "cyber *****" as me.

There's a lot of stuff to tour here in Southern Nevada besides casinos. Lots of scenery like Red Rock Rec area, Lake Mead, Valley of Fire, more stuff in southern Utah, ghost towns toward Tonopah, etc. Death Valley and the only winery in Nevada are near/in Pahrump (the winery is good enough that Calif. wine folks tour it). There's an interesting museum of early So. Nev. "civilization" in Henderson, with early houses transplanted there, etc. etc.

Laughlin, NV area is cool too

Right on the border between AZ and NV on the Colorado river. There's a cool old abandoned mining town near Laughlin in Oatman, AZ with wild jackasses running around!:D

Powewagon,

Tell her I"M coming!!:D :D

The highlight of any anniversery would be meeting me, I'm sure!

On the way down or back, stop at Lake Tahoe, very romantic:p

One of my most favorite places in the country, got to love that CLEAN water.

Renew you vows on Hoover dam. You could say that this dam represents all my pent up, uh, energy from 15 years of marriage, lets turn it loose!

PW, the Stratosphere tower is fun, try and get your wife to do the rollercoaster or the slingshot at the top  You get a great view of the lights if you go after dark (but the line to go up can get veeeeerrrryyy long!)

If that is too much excitement then you could check out the Liberace museum  Actually it's pretty decent.

There is quite a bit to see and look at if you just walk the strip. The water show at Cesar's Palace in the evening is pretty cool. There are a lot of shows but many are quite $$$. There are freebees like at Circus Circus that are not too bad.

Vaughn

edit update: OOOPS. . . just realized we're talking Reno not LV. Oh well, if you ever get down to LV there's stuff to do there too. I haven't really been to Reno so not much help here
