Competition Changing turo housing

:D :D I know I'll never see the FASTEST E. T. with my truck

but after last night at Norwalk Raceway, I probably have the distinction of having the SLOWEST E. T. for our cummins. And winning the round too!!!

For some bizar reason, (driver error?) when the last yellow came on, my foot came off the brake (and with 8 pound of boost spooled up) my beloved truck DIED!!! The stupid driver probably lifted his right foot along with his left one. Let me tell ya, a Cummins stops real quick when you do something stupid like that... . So anyway, I had broke the beam so I restarted my truck, put it in gear and as the starter motions for me to continue down the track, I nail the throttle and go.

E. T. was 39. 85 @ 86. 3MPH, AND I WON!!!!! The other truck

had broke out... . Can you say LUCKY!!!!:D

I've seen people try to launch in "R" on the shift indicator...

Maybe they thought it was for "RACE".....

It sure is a funny sight...

Brian, great story. Mistakes can't escape even the most salty of drivers. How is that truck doing now a days?

Stack'd,

The ol' girl is doing fine. I won't see 14 sec. on my time slip till

I get another (bigger) turbo (or two... ) :D :D Just have to talk the better half into it. ;) Am seeing real solid 15:4. . , to 15:5. . so the truck is staying very consistant. It's just running out of steam

at the 1/8 mile. I NEED MORE AIR:{ :{ :{ (and less weight!)

Sounds like you and your truck are doing great. . Congrats!!

Maybe someday I'll be able to run with the big boys too.

Hmmm, let's see. All I need to do is loose about 1500 pounds

off the truck and rob a bank to pay for the turbo(s), and to have Dave S. turn my pump up like yours. . And..... And..... And... .....

Take care and be safe.

bigkavr, we get so used to hearing the guys who run real fast times here we forget, 15. 4 and 15. 5 is pretty danged fast for trucks as heavy as ours. I'm running 15. 32-15. 50 depending on outside temps etc. A guy at work said he told someone he knew a guy running mid to low 15's in a 4x4 diesel ext. cab and the guy called him a liar 'cause it can't be done  I'm in the same boat as you on running out of air though, I do all my damage in the first 1/8th, she's huffin' after that.

I think my biggest :{ at the light story is one night I was lining up against a guy in a pretty nice car. He was dialed in, in the 11's as I recall. Anyway, the guy staged up too quick so they had him back up and stage again. This must have got him flusterated cause as I'm watching my side of the tree come down you can imagine my surprise when we punch it at the exact same time. Poor guy was watching my lights, needless to say he red lighted just a little bit and I won.

Great times you've got. Now quit rubbing it in to the fact that some of us has "handicaped" trucks... :{ I can only dream

of getting my truck to go in the 13's like yours...

My truck feels so inadequate. I'm afraid it's getting turbo envy.

Remember, this response is all in jest. ;) ;)

Take care and be safe
