bolt delivery

UPS just delivered the bolts from plating. Tomorrow we'll be ready to start shipping. Please email me with your address and zip code, so we can figure UPS charges. If you would like to use plastic, it can all be done with a single phone call. If you want to send a check, let us know the address so we can figure UPS, and we'll send an email with the exact charges. Please don't call until Friday (tomorrow) as my office manager is out today, and I have other parts to run.

Thanks guys!

OK, so I go and open the hood on my 98. 5 and check out the bango bolts, I can't see how you are going to replace them, They look like there welded to a steel fuel line?

the input to the pump has about 5" of steel line with a hose going to it from the filter, but the one between the filter and transfer pump looks like its all steel.

Ok, so I have not been "paid" machanic for about 12 years now, but it sure looks like the steel line is welded to the fitting.

How do you change them?

Towpro,

Basically it's a bolt that has a center hole and holes drilled through the sides. The steel line has a hollow circle swagged to it like the shape of a banjo.

I would recommend getting Ray's Banjo Bolts and once you have them in your hand you'll say, DOH! .

Sorry I don't have a picture to post. Hope this helps.

TowPro, use a 17 mm box end or a 17 mm 6 point 3/8 sockett on the bolt heads that you see on the fuel line banjo's. It's easy to do . You need 5 of them also. 1 on the lift pump 2 on fuel filter & 2 on the lift pump.
