HIGH BEAMS WITH FOGS

I would like to have my fogs stay on when I hit the high beams. 2001 Sport.

I did this with my Harley by separating a connector and filling in with cheater section.

Unfortunately it’s not that easy on 2nd and 3rd gens.

4th gens you can disable the fog light dropout with JScan or AlfaOBD.

There is a fog light relay in the PDC under the hood. Pull that relay and jumper it. When fog lights are on, they are on regardless of low beam or high beam. I run with mine on 100% of the time with some orange LED bulbs, more as a running light than anything, the 2nd gen fogs are worthless as a fog light, so I put them to use as an orange running light.

Can't recall which terminals get jumpered, mine has been like that for probably close to 20 years. if need be I can look and maybe get a photo.

Just noticed you have a factory sport, so might be different, mine is a non sport but I converted to a aftermarket sport with four bulbs, however I did this mod long before I ditched my factory two bulb headlamps.

This jumper allows factory fog lights to remain on with high beams, 2001, non sport truck, YMMV with other years and sport trim.
