I have recently purchase the Alpha OBD software. I would like to enable the fog lights with the high beam lights.
Is this possible on a 2009 3rd Gen truck?
I searched the software over and over and could not find it.
Any hints on where to look and the proceedure?

I was able to do it on my '06. I will check this evening and let you know if you haven't received another response. Under body computer option somewhere IIRC.

@crispyboy, Select your vehicle, body control and central powernet. Then go to car configuration change, then look for Reconfigurable Parameters: Front Fog Lamp Dropout Enable. You can dry run what you want to do without connecting to the truck. Just make choices on the first page and then touch hood up icon. Post up any issues so that we can help you figure it out. Good luck.

I also notice that "Geno's Garage' sells a BRITE BOX kit that will enable the Fog Lights to be used with the High Beam for your model year., part number BB-SDK8-FLC-6.

No need to purchase a BRITE BOX since he already has AlfaOBD. High+Low+Fogs without adding anything to the wiring is a big win IMHO!

By golly it worked!
Thank you so much for the help.
Where is the best place to learn more about the capability of the software I purchased?

It's a really great tool to have! Us 3rd gen guys are pretty limited, but there's still plenty we can do. I have done quite a few things with it while experimenting. The best changes I've made were the fog light dropout and quad headlights. You can also increase the voltage to each headlight if you wish. I've also programmed keys, and disabled TPMS. I've also been able to help guide through adding fog lights and cruise control to an '07.5 C/C that a guy had just bought.

Lots of stuff in here, but it's kind of hard to follow and there's a bunch of guys posting about newer trucks.

Most of the AlfaOBD stuff on CF is for newer trucks. It seem like all the 3rd gen threads got buried. Only a few threads when a handful of us were experimenting. There aren't a whole lot of options to enable/disable, but the few that are available are pretty cool! It was pretty handy when I used it to get rid of the 'Serv 4x4' light when I converted my NV273 to manual shift.

That is why I purchased AlfaOBD. I'm doing my 273 to 271 swap this weekend! Well worth the price for that reason alone. I was hoping I would be able to use AlfaOBD to solve my hyper flash on my rear turn signals but not sure it will do that for a 2006 truck.
