Anyone know how to get a good boosted launch in an 05 auto? I can only get about 18-20# boost when launching in 4x4. A friend with a similar setup has the same problem.

It appears that its de-fueling to save the transmission or something cause I can build all the boost I want if I'm rolling and brake boost it, but I'm not sure. I can mash the go pedal with the brakes held standing still and not make any more than 20#. This makes for a pretty crappy launch, as it takes a second to get more fuel in a build boost when coming off the line.

I don't have any boost leaks, and can easily make 36# boost on the old stock turbo after launch.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

you can change to the wild TM on your smarty but depending on what SW you load your transmission will realy not like it.

I think this is what you're looking for : BD Engine Brake - Ram Diesel BD Racer Anti De-fueler

Thanks for the input... so it looks like the RAD box simply modifies the speed sensor signal, tricking the truck into thinking it is moving, right?

I have no idea what it does but I've read lots about how it does work:D

The smarty completely removes TQ management only on manual trucks.

With a FULLY built DTT and billett input on my old '01. 5, Bill kondolay told me not to exceed 20psi boost on a launch start. He said things can twist off when exceeding that.

I agree with motorhead, but hey, if you wanna boost the hell out of it to launch go for it! :-laf Maybe try slowly rolling into the throttle instead of just mashing it. Havent tried a RAD box, but I dont ever plan on a 20+ PSI launch

the new TNT race program has the trigger delete :)

Beta testing next week

I would like to give the beta a try when its ready... stock injector/aftermarket turbo is my typical sw of choice. I would greatly appreciate it:D.

As for the transmission... I don't plan on 30+ pound launches, I'm well aware of what that will do to an input shaft, etc. The problem is that there is a noticable delay in the fueling coming off the line with the current setup. I would just like to be able to control the boost with the go pedal while on the line, and get fuel quick when I leave.
