Don't confuse the super B with the Super B special which is comparable to a sp64 I believe. You can get the sp62 with 12 or 14 cm exh housings I think the BD,s are only 12. My super B I had about a year and a half ago Had the same egt problems he is talking about and I had 90 hp sticks. I would only get around 38-40 psi tops also but could peg my 1600 egt gauge in seconds at wot.

IMO he can keep his current turbo and go with a lot smaller injector like a Mach 1. 6 as he just wants to control egts while towing from what I understand from previous posts.

I agree that a smaller injector would be the ticket for his application & 1. 6's are ideal. I was referring to the new super B [not special] which is a S300 based turbo [air werks]. They have a 65 turbine... . not a 59 like the older models. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the special has a 71 wheel I believe. Personally I would keep the M4's & do the twins if budget allows... . no more worries. I still feel like I have the perfect setup for towing with a single charger... . 1200* max pulling grades up to 9% that run miles long hauling 15k#. :-laf

I control my egts 100% by my right foot. If a hill is coming up I'll get rpms up to 2100rpm & she is gone! Awesome towing combo here, but my lowest egts have been while running the quad XZT+... . 1100* tops.

ok so i took the m4 stick out and did a lil trial and error an wanna see if any buddy thinks its the turbo or whatnot. w the edge on 5x5 im makin 30 lbs of boost and almst 1200 deg w the edge off im struggling to make 20psi so im wondering if any of this has to do w my prior prob any info would be helpful... .

Those numbers are right on for stock injectors with a bit bigger than stock turbo. Don't think you have a problem there.

Htt 62/14

there must be sumone with those injectors and a turbo to cure it haha

I have mach 4's and with TST up and smarty throwing fuel my Temps never go higher than 1000 it hits it and then goes down I will only see higher when I drive at 5400 elevation and trying to go 65 up a hill with full fuelling. the Htt sps 62/14 has been awesome for me. not a problem towing with it either. hope this info can help you.

I call II the other day and asked what i could use with the mach 4s for towing and they said 66/14 . and then BILLVO and i taked and we both agree thts too big and dunno what they are thinking... . so do i go w the II 62/14 w the 4s or do i just order new injectors either way i have to buy something:-laf cuz the stock ones arent cutting it for me i cant even make smoke and i liked how the 4s drove alota power ... . now it feels stock:{

i just put a HTT62/12 and some mach 4`s in and towed a 5k pound camper up a few long hills and the hottest it got was 1300.....comp on 1x5 ... plenty of power ... i would check for boost leaks

my 2 cents

boost leaks where and how would i find them. the truck is boosting normal as in previous posts so i dont think there is a leak... .

It never hurts to check the aftercooler boots to make sure they are still in place and put a wrench to the clamps to recheck that they are tight from time to time. more often if they are still the stock ones. This is the most common place to loose boost.

best way to check is get a rubber plumbing cap from the hardware store that'll fit over the turbo inlet. use some fender washers to mount a shrader valve on it and hit it with 30-40psi of shop air and look for leaks
