Basically you got ripped off, they have to input your VIN or hook up your truck to see if any updates are available. When they hooked up your truck they would've been told that nothing was available because you've already got the program. But being the typical know everything Tech and / or service writer they didn't read the procedure and how to enable the program. I went through this a couple of times until I finally held the techs hand and showed him how to do it. The whole time he was saying you don't know what your talking about, your truck doesn't need any updates, I've never heard of anything like that, I've been a mechanic for 20 years I know what I'm talking about crap. When I finally got him to pay attention long enough to show him how to turn it on he said wow, I get it now, what do ya know I learned something from a customer. To that I said, glad I could be of service to ya. Then I walked in by the service manager and told him that I would be sending them a bill for teaching their tech. Needless to say I didn't get charged for it.
