Folks,
I recently moved to Fairbanks, AK, and before I left Cal. I had a Dodge dealer perform the 18-019-01 TSB (high-idle and 3-cylinder shut-down). Well, its been cold enough to activate (19F) recently, and I have purposefully left the truck outside to test the software.
So, I make sure all the conditions are met, and yet there is no high-idle. I am bringing the truck to the local Dodge to verify the software has been installed and enabled (I think that it wasn't enabled the first time).
Now to my question: the Service rep I spoke to mentioned an "idle-up solenoid" that they install on the diesel pickups they sell. Cost is about $350 installed. Does anybody have any idea what product this is? I'd just as soon buy it and install it myself if possible. I'll find out from Dodge what this piece of equipment when I take it in next week, but thought someone here might know.
Thanks.
Craig
