"Higher" range VDO Boost Gauges - Interested???

I contacted VDO, because they match the factory gauges best, and told them there were a bunch of people that would be interested, "IF" they could make one with a higher range.
If you're interested reply to this post and I'll pass it along to them. And before you ask, I don't know prices, but I figure it's got to be close to their regular 0-30 gauge.

You should hear mine rattle when it gets to about 28 and higher... Just couldn't pass up the perfect match for the factory guages, and the lighting is oh so nice!

I'm in. How high were they considering? 40lbs? 50lbs?

I was going to order the VDO's tonight. Now it looks like I'll have to wait, or maybe not. How long out do you think it will be before the gauge is available? If it is going to be a while maybe I just go with the 30lb. for now.

mine always reads 5 psi even when not running. To much boost fot the 30lb gauge.

I'd be interested in Seeing the gauges first. . then from there I will make up my mind... though they have to have at least a 50lb boost gauge.

I love my vision series a lot and VDO is my fav. brand. Unfortunately I can't see them making a 50 lb. boost gauge because we ask them. What about that place in california (don't know the name) that does all the VDO gauge work such as on speedometers. I wonder if they could modify a current gauge, double the springs up in there so the gauge actually reads 1/2 of actual boost and change the #s. Just a thought.

I have the 0-30 installed and love it... but after any bombing? I am in for a 0-50 turbo gauge and a fuel pressure gauge 0-16 or so?

Rick, I've contacted VDO on this several times in the past, most recently, several months ago. They seemed receptive to the idea however, nothing had materialized so I elected to go with SPA digital gauges (to replace my VDO Vision boost, pyrometer and trans. temp. gauges). I was also interested in a fuel pressure gauge (which they currently do not offer in ANY of their gauge lines) but I was told they were currently redesigning the gauge and it wouldn't be available until sometime in the spring... and then only in their Cockpit line, not the Vision line. #ad

I told them they were very popular among Dodge/Cummins turbo Diesel owners and that they should reconsider. I hope VDO picks up the ball and runs with it.

How sure are you about the availability of a higher-reading gauge? I just ordered Boost, Pyro, and Oil Temp. yesterday. #ad
However, I can still modify my order IF I know I can get a VDO Vision boost gauge in 40 or 50 PSI.

While you're talking with VDO, you might mention their lack of a Fuel Pressure Gauge. I did when I called and e-mailed them about two weeks ago. If enough "noise" is made, they might decide to intoduce one.

I figured a higher volume distributor might have some clout, so I contacted egauges.com. Here's their reply:

of doing a custom order of 0-50psi Vision Boost Gauges. I'll ask about
price and timing as well.

favorably on your discussion forum. If you have any insights into ways to
improve our site, or if people are buying from other vendors because they're
