And not a single f............wait. I mean not a single person cared. Ford hasn't had a leg to stand on for years.

Piece of crap

I'll take the new RAM over that POS any day. AT least when you rev the mighty Cummins it actually sounds like a diesel. Unlike the superpooper.

Some how or other......I think my lowly Tradesman w/385*850 will do just fine for quite a while. The only thing I'm concerned the most with is longevity and making sure it's not in the repair shop often. Cummins offers just that. ;)

Ford has reach the end of the Engines ability, Yep it may make the HP Ford claims but 5 years was now they will need $$$$ in replacement cost. I wonder what the power really is.

I'll bet it still requires the cab removal to work on it.
BUT I'm glad to see they are upping the bar. We'll have to wait until the 2016 model year to see the Ram competition. I'm sure it's coming since "best in class power" has been a selling point for the last few years.

Load that PowerJoke to Max GCWR every day, and let it haul more than a bag of groceries, then let's see who has the real diesel.

More power = more torque limiting~~~~~~

What ram should do is produce a non commercial version of the 4500 and 5500 as pickup trucks and turn the power loose in trucks with bigger diffs, brakes, drive lines etc.

The question is now much torque limiting has Ford done to protect their inhouse transmission.

When I bought my '13 I knew the HP race would continue, but didn't care to wait more. I wonder if Cummins and Ram are deliberately goading the others to keep raising their engine's ratings until they blow up on the way home from the dealership. We know the Cummins can safely use the power it is rated for, and we know the others are already marginal.

You notice that GM got out of the race to failure~~~~~

I imagine the advertised peak horsepower and torque rating is only achieved for a few seconds under one particular set of conditions just for bragging/advertising hype purposes. The rest of the time it is "torque managed" to much lower ratings in order for it and the rest of the powertrain to live.

The bragging rights will always be ahead them. Cummins can out torque and HP with 6 to their 8. Now, let them beat that!

So if a 1000 lbs makes it ride level, what is 2500-3000 lbs of 5th wheel pin weight going to do to it??????? SNOKING
