I am looking for a Holset HY-55V turbo, and am having a hard time finding one.

raychem said:Also... that turbo requires electronics to control th variable vanes. It is not like the garrett unit
DieselNasty said:If you find an older VGT, on EBAY and seen one at a Cummins vendor at a race, they are boost actuated and dont need a comp and this is what one of the cummins guys said.
swankmetal said:none of these turbos are "boost" actuated. when the actuator is at rest, the housing is in "large" format. it needs about 40psi to close it down to a spool-able size. and they hy55v is a vgt, not a vgn. check out these threads.
