Glad you like your new toy!

Most will be surprised how WELL the little guy of the family already does!

And it's only a 30 Hp increase!

Immagine the higher Hp settings!

Glad you like your new toy!

Marco

I can only only imagine :{

With my stock auto do I dare go up to the 60 hp setting? Is it to much torque even running an unloaded (empty) truck?

Anyway, I picked up my Smarty from the post office this morning and had a little 30 hp fun. :) :) Then it was back to half power(i. e. in my '93) and back to work.

I'm going to hold off on the speedo recalibration for a while so I will have a more accurate mileage comparison with all of the previously logged miles.

Thanks Marco and Bob

I just loaded #2 60 WO timing just to see..... HOLY #&%$(*&!

I never thought 60hp could be this strong! I was smiling, laughing, and smoking out every car I could! The 60 hp setting with TST 3/3 and EZ1 smokes way heavier than my 7/7 EZ3 setting!

I also couldnt believe the diffrence the way the motor sounded when I fired it up! more of a cackle, slightly louder (not timing rattle though).

I am going to go load in some other programs and check those out, I dont know why 60 HP in this is IMO AMAZING in itself. I thought I would never hear myself say that about 60 HP! It has enough bottom end to really hurt some parts if your not careful!

GREAT JOB MARCO!

matt let smarty handle the timing if you have the adjustable timing feature, big difference.

The 2006 cr smarty will be out at the end of september and we are taking names.

There will be no shortage after next month :-laf

I dont have the adjustable timing in my TST. I figured I wouldnt mess with the odd settings until I heard otherwise but I can just run my TST at 0 and run some higher odd # programs to compensate for the HP! :D

Thanks for taking care of all of us Marco Bob and everyone else who has helped bring this technology to us! Truely amazing to say the least IMO!

Yes, everyone please be sensable with smarty. This is a well engineered product that brings a lot to the table.

smarty is hp done right

I got hard fueling to 3500 then it leveld out at 3700!!! True HP I am still in awe of the power of this thing!

Mykal, if you have a stock auto I think the 60 HP tune will kill it easily.

I was referring to this:

"My biggest complaint about the second gen Smarty was the inability to drive it without off boost smoke even on the lower settings"

JJPage,

nope, Smarty does no pressure. I've only made the FP more "linear" but have not raised it above what it is with a stock software.

Nate,

We're talking about the Common Rail here, a different beast that deliveres way more fuel than the VP does... .

Man, this thing continues to amaze me!

I tried setting 0. Sure enough, 1/2 power. Can't get over about 15-18psi of boost.

I turned the TST to 9x9. The truck still wouldn't go over 15-18psi. Still slow as heck. I'm not sure what's going on, but it's awesome. I'll never disconnect my TST again before sending my truck to get any work done (alignments, tire rotations, etc. , I service the truck myself).

Are you stacking with the TST and how do you change power levels with Smarty?

I have a TST with the R49 cool-down timer remote. It's loaded with the late twins program which ramps fueling from 4psi to 24psi.

With the Smarty, you choose and download the program you want, then adjust the TST to your liking. So far I think my favorite setting is the 60hp w/ timing (on the Smarty) and using the TST for duration only.

I can tell you, about 1/4 of my tank has gone out the tailpipe in a cloud of smoke. It's not that the Smarty smokes all the time, it's just that it's too fun to billow clouds like an old coal locomotive.

The Smarty on the 30hp setting spools the SPS66 nicely. The 60hp settings are even better.

I still want to switch my 66 to a 62, but that's another story.

JCleary I really enjoy your insight and reviews. thank you. This is a tdr as you could say " let hear what you want"

Thanks JC and all

Well I own an 05 Dodge Ram and let me tell you ... ...

Smarty 60 HP program + TST 0/0 + II CP3 + II 3 FLOW INJECTORS + FASS 200 GPH.

I substituted the smarty in place of my bddl. I am very impressed least to say. This SMarty alone will rock.

Bob call me tonight if you will I have some info for you.

This thing makes the Bully Dog Triple Dog look like a joke! I wish I had an '04. 5 and up auto. Man, would that be nuts! You auto guys are going to have too much fun with this thing

Are you ever so right. Let me give you past and present settings:

I used to bragg about the bullydog downloader power pup on 90 HP performance setting and TST on 4/4

Now it is more like this:

Smarty 30 HP setting and TST 2/2

Man this thing rocks!!

An obserd amount of smoke at the lower settings but as the settings went higher the smoke decreased and holy sjit. the pull is amazing and it wants to just keep on going. Awesome job Marco!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :--) :D

boost fooler

does the smarty have boost fooling? i'd like to get rid of my Ramifier. i never turn it up because of my injectors and stock drivetrain. i'd like a bit of timing on the bottom to help spool my SPS 64. sounds like you did good, Marco! congrats!!... james :D
