Horton Fan Clutch with S-Bar

I am trying to help a friend install a Horton Fan Clutch on his 96 2500 2wd Auto CTD. He has prievously installed a S-Bar heater.



The S-Bar takes its water from the port the temp sensor for the Horton is supposed to use.



Has anyone else run into this and if so how did you deal with it?



We talked to the people at Horton and they did not have any suggestions.



Any help would be great.

You must be talking about the "Espar" heater. I don't have either so I can't help much. Couldn't you just T it there?

Question, do you have the older Horton harness or the newer version? I had a fan on my 96 3500 and the sensor was in the front of the engine on the right hand side. That one went tango uniform and Horton sent me another one with the sensor in the block on the left hand side behind the fuel filter. They said that the new location was far more accurate as far as temp goes.
