This is out of a CAT 793 field manual, but a clamp is a clamp regardless of whos engine its on... here it goes.
WIDTH OF CLAMP (TORQUE ON NEW HOSE. . )
. 30 inch = 8 +/-2 in lbs.
. 50 inch = 40 +/-4 in lbs.
. 65 inch = 65 +/-4 in lbs.
ON A USED HOSE/REASSEMBLY.
. 30 inch = 6 +/-2 in lbs.
. 50 inch = 27 +/-4 in lbs.
. 65 inch = 40 +/-4 in lbs.
A constant torque (?) hoseclamp requires 106 +/- 18 in lbs.
