How come dodge denies injector claims and GM doesn't?

20mph roll, level 5/5, Boost pegs 40psi and the tires break loose!

And I can see why you guys say the 6 speed isn't going to be all that effective once you get to the low 13's. . 2nd and 3rd go to fast to be effective. . Well, if I didn't have bald tires then 3rd wouldn't be so bad.

I can FOR SURE see the requirement for a clutch and drive trian and tires (slicks? 4x4?) that can handle a 3rd gear hole shot inorder to get any descent drag times with the 6 speed.

Slippage till about 1800 - 2000rpm and then let go, and crack 4th gear and hang on, hope to heck you don't hit revese as you slip 5th,

Also, what is the peek PSI for an efficient HX35 stock turbo? What would be the next step or two up from this. ultimate goal is to put tis truck just a bit faster then the SRT-10 and be done with things. I have a Z06 or an BMW M3 to own some day ya know. :)

You (unfortuantly) don't have a HX-35, you have a HY-35 and the max effective pressure is about 24 psi. The HY won't last long at 40psi.

Are you sure? Heck, even the stock boost is running about 28psi.

BTW, these are edge boost #'s.

Also, my EGT are no more then 1250* I rarly even see close to 1300.

A friend of min has an automete guage and he's pegging the 30psi guage, I expect the same deal and it's been 15,000 miles.

You DO have an HY 35. I think Tinman was referring to an '03-04 turbo which is a Hy 35 also. in '04. 5 they put a bigger compressor wheel in the Hy 35 and that is why it can handle more boost. your HY 35 turbo runs around 30 psi of boost but it is pretty much maxed out boost wise, it isn't giving efficient cool boost above that. It can go to 40 psi but it is living on borrowed time, it might die tomorrow or it MIGHT make it indefinately. Do you have the EGT based defueling enabled in the juice? I would think the juice should be able to easily blow past 1450 degrees EGT.

With my stock turbo I never saw over 41-42psi with the HOT Juice on 5/5. EGTs could be pushed to 1500* on sustained WOT.

I only see 40-41psi. 1250egt. TOPS.

I may not have my EGT probe in the proper place for BEST temp reading. . it's inline right after the #3 cylinder. It is reading the first 3 cylinders well. Circumstances dissallowed better placement.

There is difference between the max boost possible with a given turbo and the max efficient boost. Boost beyond 24 psi on a HY-35 gets very hot resulting in less dense air. I guess the 600s have a slightly better efficiency with the larger compressor. Whats a HE 351??

An HE351 is a turbo. The HE351 is what is on 04. 5's, 05's and 06 model year engines.

Yes it is similar to an "Hy35" or "Hx35" but it is not.

Hy35 has not been installed on a Cummins since MY2002.

I dont know what they called the model on 03 and 04's. Its not an Hy35 even if the specs are close or identical.
