I just had the pleasure of getting the truck emissioned on Tuesday. I happen to have my Mach 4's out of the truck for a problem I am trying to diagnose - I am currently running stock injectors. With the HRVP44, MAD ECM, and a HX40 @ 5300' elevation, the truck had the following opacity:
60MPH = 5%
50MPH = 6%
40MPH = 6%
Passing emissions will not be an issue unless you are already borderline. The only smoke I can make is off boost - then totally cleans up. Can't get my EGT's over 1050 with the stock injectors. The pump is significantly more aggressive (more smoke off boost) - but I never really had any noticeable increase in smoke/egts once boost comes in after putting the pump on. Actually, with the TST cranked up, WAY more smoke w/ immeasurable EGT's - I don't have near enough air to burn the fuel any more! TST off, EGT's stayed about the same.
