Any old hot rodders here? Talk about what ya had!!
I had a 1968 1/2 Mustang fastback with a 427 dual quad engine. One of the old medium rise side oilers. The car originally came with a 428, one of the original first Cobra Jets. The engine was gone when I bought it.
It had dual 652 cfm Holleys, high compression pistons, an Isky mech cam, and dual point Mallory ignition. No such thing as electronic ignition then. Had a Sheiffer clutch setup, Hooker headers, 4 sp transmission, 4. 56 rear end with a Detroit Locker. It had H60's on the rear and f70s on the front with Keystone Kustomags, remember those? Lakewood traction bars and a Hurst shifter. It was dark green with a white reflective C stripe. And... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... It had an eight track stereo with dual speakers! I was
!!!
Anyway, that was my ride back in the early 70's. A guy that lives in Hays KS has it, but won't part with it.
