Does it have to be right now? Back in the winter I had stopped to buy my wife a bottle of wine on the way home from work. Wanted it to be cold by the time I got home so I buried it in the snow piled up in the bed from the last storm. When I got it home and she asked me how I got it so cold so quickly I told her I put it in the redneck wine cooler.

My bed contains...

... a nice cozy spot covered in dark, lush Line-X, with a mound on each side welcoming my trail hardened ATV to mount up for an undulating ride.

Remains from fire wood, several soda cans, two fuel filter housings, about a dozen empty copenhagen cans, ice chest, ratchet straps, tools, gas can, some beach sand, beer caps, windex, stainless steal polish, a milk crate, and a bbq pit that attaches to the trailer hitch.

In the D350- few scraps of mulch, odds and ends of trash that people of lesser socioeconomic status toss in as they pass by (I guess it'd be too much to ask that they keep their own trash til they get home) at work.

- And on the rare pretty evening, a 100# Black Lab/ Great Pyrinees (sp?) cross, and a 75# German Shepard cross-mutt, going for a ride out on the town, as it were.

In the W250- diamond treadplate toolbox with a grease gun, roll of blue towels, and some diesel supplement (Schaefer's, I think).

Here's the good one.

W350- Its own transmission case and few assorted parts therefrom.

- transfer case; fully assembled.

- driveshafts

- axle shaft from W250 (it has bearing issues at the moment)

- pieces of burnt trash from the stacks getting too hot for plastic, etc.

- oil drain pan

- skidplates from the W350

I have one drivable truck at the moment, and it may be sold by this weekend (and I may still have it in July).

Well lets see:

I have a 5 gallon diesel fuel jug, a 55 gallon drum filled with fuel that i carry with me on these long trips from Florida to Ohio, a hand pump for the 55 gal drum, a 15; garden hose to hook to the hand pump and into the fuel door on the side of the bed, a wrench for adjusting the jam nut on the hand pump, plenty of diesel soaked shop rags from the fuel i seem to spill every time, lots of tarp straps, 2 tarps, a 4 lb weldors hammer and a big #3 flat screwdriver.

Lets not forget the trash. I don't smoke, but keep finding cigarette packs in the bed, same goes for pop cans... beer cans, beer bottles. . Everyone thinks a truck bed is their trash can.

In my truck bed is a fifth wheel hitch, a tool box. inside the tool box is a boonie box from Geno's garage, an assortment of junk I probably don't need, a small air compressor I hope I don't need, some tie down straps that I will probably someday need.

And a little diesel fuel spillage from the other nites adventure. ;) :-laf

Hmm... . where to start?

O. K. i have:

-a rhino liner so the bed doesn't get scratched up

-a custom handbuild bedliner w/benches (still not finished!!!)

-towels

-water bottles

-a crate with some parts and tools from the last skirmish under the hood of the wifes car

-5 or 6 tow straps

-survival kit under the benches

-rope

-a couple plastic bags from the grocery store

-a whole bunch of the dehydrated food bags (where'd they come from??)

-and finally a century T-class bed cap to hide all of the junk & to smooth the ride out.

You don't want to see what's up front, either.

I have a 5inch hole where stacks use to be. A nice cut in the middle of the hole where a 2,000pound tie down made its way to my drive shaft while i was on i-295 doing 75mph. Well the end that wasnt attached wrapped around my drive shaft. My Girlfriend Christina and I heard a load pop and then and odd noise. I pulled over. Got under the truck un-wrapped it. Truck was fine. Got back in. She ask's "truck ok"

me"yea!! Its a Cummins" haha so i also have the remains of that.

What's In the Bed?

Since we are full-time RVers and tow a 5th Wheel, there is lots of stuff in the back of our truck. Full timers make good use of space!

Here is the list:

Combination tool box (and tools) and 42 gallon diesel tank

Yamaha Generator

Gasoline Can with Gasoline for the Generator

Box with truck and trailer wash, wax, bucket, rags, etc.

40 gal tank, hoses, and pump for getting extra water

assorted short pieces of 2x6,2x8,2x10 (never know when you might need them)

And of course the essential 20 K 5th Wheel Hitch

Even carrying all this stuff, the truck pulls our 17,000 lb fifth wheel like a champ!

Hope to see you down the road somewhere.
