Cleaned it out royally 2 weekends ago so nothing now. Had been broken ski's 400lbs of bagged crushed stone (better traction if it ever snowed), a concrete form pin or 3, some bungee's. Far cleaner than my contracting days.

What's in the bed of my truck:



1) L-shaped diesel tank with the bottom of the "L" cut off converted into

two small upright toolboxes with a chain rack in the middle (kinda like on

an 18 wheeler) full of chains and binders

2) Thermadyne Predator portable AC/DC welder, oxy/acetylene torch

mounted in a removable rack that lifts in and out of the truck and locks

around the gooseneck ball (HANDIEST THING I HAVE EVER BUILT!!!)

3) a couple empty beer cans

4) lots of misc. tools, welding accesories, etc.

I use my truck as a service vehicle. Currently there are 4 J250 6V batteries, 4 T-105 6V batteries 2 Grp 27 12V and a Grp 24 12V . 2 Large RubberMaid tubs. One has various Hardware and Hydraulic components the other has specialized tools plus Cordles drills, bits and extra batteries. MAPP Torch , Butanee soldering iron, 3 Proprietary analyzers. Portable oscillascope, Battery condition/load meter, suitcase tool kit weighs about 50 lbs. Large Snapon portable tool box with large wrenches and 1/2" drive set. 25 ton Hyd. jack 5ton Hyd. jack. Port-a-power. Dunnage, prybars, step stool, various drain pans, oilabsorb in 5gal. container, case of Delo1 gal. oil jugs. 2 gal. coolant. 5 gal. AW46 hyd oil. Fire Extinguishers 2 10lb. Grease gun and grease. Portable compressor. 25 various fuel,oil&hyd. filters and about 40lbs. of service manuals. All under the Fold-a-Cover bed cover.

It's almost enough weight to make it ride nice. Everything else is in the cab.

Now I have to pull everything out so I can get it Line-X'd .

I have a plywood deck in my bed on top of the wheel wells . Underneath is a 6 foot folding table,tow chains ,spotting scope ,shooting sticks for prone and sitting positions ,rubber dead blow hammer ,hand sledge,a shooting mat,cleaning supplies for black powder rifles ,2 inch tow hitch for reciever ,two tool boxes . On top of deck is two moving blankets,a tripod for spotting scope,cleaning rods ,gallon jug of distilled water ,bottle of water soluble oil,spray can of Balistol,can of Kroil ,horse blanket. thats it :-laf . I have a hauler bed, so I hope it counts. There is nothing on the bed but the boxes are full of tools, jumpercables, and other junk, and the air tank for my train horns. I guess you could say the horse trailer hooked to it 90% of the time is in the bed.

My bed has a Gemtop cab high shell with rear barn doors. Both sides have flip up doors to access tool box shelves. Drivers side has plastic box for recovery gear items, phone books, jumper cables, steel tool box for hammers, pry bars,fire extinguisher, etc. Other side has two plastic boxes with misc. small items, 1/4" drive socket set. sawzall box , 18V drill box, Extra fuel pump 32 ounces of Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement, 2 fuel filters, one short hand saw, one caulking gun, etc. One bed mat, One push broom, one tool bag/carryall with small hand tools.
One new gas range in the box to be installed tomorrow.

Well today i cleaned out the bed of my truck. yesterday i had a cooler full of ice, water bottles, sundrop, cheerwine, and miller time bottles. 5 gal jug of diesel. some shovels. chicken manure. softball bat. softballs. i dont even play softball. my dog gets a kick out of me hittin em to her. two and a half gals of two stoke motor oil. two empty two stroke motor oil jugs. . yes i dont know how but they turned over in my tool box ran out the cracks in it and now is an anticorosive treatment for my truck bed and undercarriage. In the tool box other than the oil soaked rubber matts to keep things from sliding around and turning over are some now used oilie rags, cds that have fell out of there cases. a survival axe/shovel/pick/rake/hoe/hammer. some assorted wrenchs and sockets but no ratchets for the sockets ( found that out this weekend) some bullets with my new anticorosive treatment on them. and some oily ratchet straps. but like i said it took me all day but i got everything clean in my tool box. and put me some milk crates in there to keep things upright. so that should do it. . sorry for the long write up.

well lets see, I have some hydraulic oil that I use as a fuel additive, gloves, couple bungee cords, couple of bed sheets, and mattress. I just came from the TS performance diesel show in KY and planned to sleep in the back of my truck (it has a topper).

Toolbox, cooler (full of bottled water), bedliner stained by WVO, fiver hitch and whateveer my wonderful co-workers threw in it 'cause they think it's a garbage receptacle.

The 97 has body parts and currently is in the repair shop from a 7 thousand dollar deer strike.

Bed stuff

Well, I recently purchased a '93 w250/club without ever driving the vehicle. It was posted on a list and it sounded ok, the owner seemed straight up about the condition and so with some hesitation. The bed of the truck was filled with the stuff that can make up a nightmare, including years of spilled oil, sand and gravel and other lumps of stuff. Im guessing the seller was cleaning out his swamp and sold the swamp parts with the truck. The bed included a 5th wheel hitch, long eyebolts that held up the fuel tank, various one quart oil bottles, two tailgate hinges, a dozen 16p nails, speed screws and small electrical fittings. There was a Minnie Mouse doll w/o its head, but I knew it was Minnie because of the skirt and a ranger ric badge. There was one mini spare tires and rim with no idea where it came from. There was a very old beach towel and wormy looking rug. I took everything out including several 5 gal buckets of oil and sand, and lo and behold, a bed was uncovered that was not rusted through and still had 95% of its paint intact. My truck is alot cleaner now with a freshly painted bed.

- Aux tank (66 gal, with bottles of extra fluids and old dirty rags wedged in next to it).

- Heavy Duty floor jack. (almost too heavy to lift out of the back duhhh - think Ill actually use the oem one instead ).

- Portable Air tank. (keeps me from having to talk into the tire).

- 5th wheel hitch. (one day will get a vacation and actually be able to use it :-laf).

- Pieces of old accidently kinked 1/2" fuel pick-up tubes & hoses (to show off my handy artwork-like soldering abilities - hehe - not!).

- Rubber Floor mat. (yep, just chuck it in there, it's not going anywhere).

- 4 Tire Chains tucked up inside the spare tire (no one mentioned the underside of the bed right?).

- GPS locator/tracker (naaah, would never do thaaaat )

I'm in summer mode now.

summer mode: B&W companion fifth wheel hitch, brand new Custom Flow tailgate that I had the kids at the local vo-tech school paint. There will of course be firewood stacked around the fifth wheel for camping.

winter mode: saw dust, wood chips, empty bar oil containers, empty two cycle oil containers, empty crushed beer cans, and of course lots and lots of wood. I cut and split and moved about 40 face cord over the winter.....

I didn't know you were supposed to use the bed for anything. I keep the bed liner shiney with detailer and unless its in a box,it doesn't go into my bed ever... ... Andy
