Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) how bad to change convertor?

looks like Im going to be putting in the convertor and valvebody my self. I really diddnt want to have to but I had some issued after I had all the money to do it#@$%! , anyway, how bad is it to do just the convertor? car I just slide the trans back far enough to get it in and out without dropping it?

I Just yanked my transmission out friday night in 3 hours start to clean up... (only pulling it out)... You can slide it back enough but make sure you have two people there. For safety... .

oh yes I will! do you think the crossmember has to come out?

Be prepared for the ATF bath as it will probably be half full. You may think about changing the seal while you are there as the original has probably taken a set to your existing converter. Nothing worse than going thru all that work and having a front seal leak.
