Here I am

How did you hear about TDR

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Paintball Anyone?

Is this a good $$$$$ on a SNOWCAT

I first heard about TDR from an ex co-worker that has a 98 CTD. Funny thing is that I joined and he didn't (you're a bum Joe!). I'm going to sig Rob (AKA TDR Police) on him.

My best friend (alas in Renton, WA) has a 94 CTD and was a big reason I bought the beast and I referred him to TDR.

This is a great site.

Hey, those non-members are the ones missing out. I've learned alot since I've joined. In fact, I have the guys at work asking my questions. The big tech ones, I say join up and learn about it...

I stumbled upon it while pricing out my truck on the DC site. If they only knew what was going to happen the truck, lol.

I'm just curious to how everyone found out about TDR.

My dad had a subscription to the magazine that

he had heard about from his fellow RVers. He

asked me how to access the Website some time

back and I found the site valuable.

Since that time my dad bought a 2001 to pull

his 35ft. 5th wheel with and asked me if I

could see if the old 93 D250 can actually go

the 350k+ miles that some claim it will.

At 215k today, it's got a good chance. TDR is

a great way to gain the knowledge to keep it

running.

I was investigating Ford and Dodge Diesel trucks on the internet. I had always been a Ford man, but I really liked the body style of the Dodge. As far as exactly how I found TDR, I can't remember, must have been a search engine.

I can tell you that if it hadn't been for TDR, I would probably be driving a Ford. TDR made me realize that the Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel was the only way to go! I have never regretted it at all!

Thank you TDR and members for being here and all the excellent information.

Bought my truck in July'95. About a month later, I got this piece of "not so junkmail". Didn't bother to respond. Another month goes by, got another "not so junkmail". Returned it with my money (second smartest thing I ever did). After one year, alowed my sub to lapse (dumbest thing I ever did). Happened to come across the website doing a Dogpile search, perused the site for several weeks, then subbed up again (smartest thing I ever did).

I can attest that even an old dog can learn from his mistakes. :D

If hadn't pulled a dummy, I might even have one of the highest post counts on the forum (not that high numbers are better than quality posts). :D On the TiVo PVR board, I rank in the top 5% of posters w/2400+ posts, and they they show some 15k + posters. Those 2400+ was since a year ago March.

Was at a campground for a few days when a TDR member introduced himself and lent me one of his magazines to read. The rest is history.

My local Dodge dealer gave me an issue of the TDR magazine back in April of '99 I was hooked and started using my friends computer to read the posts. I joined in Jan. 2000 a month after I got my first computer.

My story is the same as MacTruck - When I was replacing head gaskets on my Ford 6. 9 diesel for the second time due to cavitation just over a year ago  someone posted a reply to a thread of mine and suggested I check out Dodge/Cummins trucks because they didn't have cavitation or cackle problems, and gave me the URL for the TDR.

Well, when I placed my order for my truck, I sent in my $35 and here I am today :)

I don't recall who this guy was, but I'd surely sing his praises publicly for turning me onto this great site!

When I was looking to buy my my truck I found some mention of the magazine on (I believe) an old 1995 sales brochure. I sent for a sample copy, and that was it. Bought the truck, too :D

Rob's old site...

Dieselram.com? search engine got me Dave Fritz's and I think Rob was on the "circle", so here I've been, and BTW, someone above mentioned joining the finest people in the world... . what's their web address??

:D :D :D

Ain't i funny?

Back in the fall of '93 when I toured the country introducing all you wonderful folk. . ( hack, cough, cough)... to the 2 nd gen when they came out! Drove a big semi with a Ram and cool graphics on it, and let you yahoos test drive them ! Anyone remember way back then? We set up at trade shows, farm shows and the like. Coolest job I ever had, and probably ever will. :( Joined actually IIRC sometime in 95/96.

I found the TDR through a link off of Banks' website. Like many others, i only knew about them because they had the best advertising. Joined up the day after i ordered my truck, and had several mods ordered before i even took delivery 3. 5 months later :D Not one banks product on my truck, and i like it that way. Bet they wish they didn't have that link on their site. Would have wasted 3+ k of my money through them.
