how do i ship large items?

I sold a front bumper to a fellow TDR member and I am trying to get it to him. UPS wants something like $130 bucks to get it there in addition to $50 for a custom box. Greyhound will ship it for around $75, but requires a box, and i cant seem to find a box large enough. Anyone shipped anything like this? have any suggestions on how to get it there? its coming from Colorado, and going to California.

Check with some of your other haulers, like Yellow, ABF, Overnite, Etc... They may be able to work with you a little better. Good luck!

Put 2 boxes together or use a water heater box and cut it to fit!

I sold one and when I shipped it I got a couple of old packing boxes and just wrapped it like a present. I hope the recipient had a sharp knife

I shipped one with DHL. Seems like it cost around $65. I basically did what JApol did, wrapped it in cardboard and tape.
