Got over 65K miles out of the stock Michelins. Liked them so much that I got Michelins again. I could have gotten another 3-5K miles out of them without any problem, but it was going into winter. Even at that many miles, they were pretty dam good in the rain.

BTW I do very little heavy hauling. Most of my driving is 35-55 mph on country roads.

I dont baby it, but I'm pretty easy on the truck. I usually go 100K on my first brakes. :D

I'm on my third Dodge CTD dually and have received over 60K on the first 2 trucks('92 D350 CC & '97 3500 CC) with the factory Goodyear tires and will easily make 60K+ on this truck too. All are highway miles towing 5th wheel trailers, keep the air pressures up, and regular rotation. I'd rather have the Michelins, but can't complain about the Goodyears.

I have yet to put a set of brake pads on a Dodge!! My wife says I drive like an old man!! :D :D

I'm at 65k w/stock Michelins and have probably 5-10k left. Probably half has been towing between 3 and 12k trailers.

43,700 miles from stock Michelins. The last 5000 miles I had to drive with an egg under my right foot in the rain. I could break them loose in 4th gear from 1000 rpm with no problem. I came around a corner with 3 tons of shale in a dump trailer in the rain one day, stepped on the throttle and about jack knifed the whole rig. That was it, the 235/85 Hankooks went on the next day. The michelins didn't have an agressive enough tread for me and I don't think they are worth the extra $50. 00 per tire for the tiny bit of extra mileage that I might have got from them.

GEORGE 00,

Hey George, anyone who lives in Perry county can't expect to get any milege out of tires. Pa roads are bad and Perry county's road are even worse. Then there's the curves and the curves and the curves. It takes a good tire and truck to get the milege you got.  :p

Tires

Your darn right Cobra, these Pa roads are terrible, that's why we drive dodge's! Gotta love it though, NO redlights (at least in Perry county)!:D

62k on the Goodyears. Rotated every 10k.

Just put on 255-85 BIG O ATs. They come with a great warranty and don't sing. They also do a good job of filling the wheelwells. :D :D :D

I have close to 40K miles on Michelins, just put two new Michelins on the front, put the remaining four best on the back, they are about 50 - 65% worn. Did this because I live on a steep, steep hill and I wanted to make sure I could get home this winter in the snow. Plus I figure buying two new tires at a time won't make my wife "Kill me" for having a truck that takes six tires :D Next winter I will (depending on wear) move the new front tires to the rear to replace the most worn rears and put two new tires on the front. Covers my butt with the wife and keeps good tread on the road :D

Goodyear Wranglers Were %&*@ Garbage

At 15,000 miles, my first Wrangler AT had a shoulder puncture, My "free" replacement tire cost me $104. That was under the road hazard warranty I bought from Goodyear (waste of $$). Since the Goodyear tires had all the road feel of lard-filled rubberized novocaine, and I was ever so slightly annoyed at the "free tire", I traded them in on Michelin LTX tires of the same size and range. Apart from front end wear due to the track bar, the Michelin tires are going strong at 20K.

As a Goodyear parting shot, during the front end wear problem, I placed the remaining Goodyear spare on the right front. ("Why chew up a good Michelin," I thought. ) That Goodyear went 75 whole miles and then, with a "pop," had a separation while parked in the driveway. It still had the nubs on the tread. No more goodyears for me, ever.

The scary part is other people who have Goodyear tires share the road with us.

I got about 65k out of my stock Goodyears. I switched to Michelins though (got a good price). I did notice that the Michelins have more rolling resistance. What pressure are you Michelin guys using?

I bought mine used with 24,000 miles on it, had planned on running the stock tires until they were worn out to save money. That lasted all of 2 weeks - my truck looked like a roller skate with the stockers on, they were WAY too small. "Somehow" a huge nail managed to go through the tread and out the sidewall of the tire had to call the wife and let her know how EXPENSIVE the stock replacement tires were and that I was just going to replace the whole set because it was almost as cheap ;) .

P. S. BTW, I will deny any knowledge of said event in case of an information leak! :D

The alignment on my 96 was wrong from the git go. 2 degrees toe out:rolleyes: . Scrubbed off the tread on the front tires right now. DC in its infinite wisdom comped me a new set of fronts. Had to order them. Upon closer inspection tires were found to be GDYR Strangler AT load range "D". Immediately went to Michelin 235/85's. Lasted just short of 80k. Went to Firestone Steeltex 265/75's in load range E. Got some decent reports on these tires from some fellow RV'ers while on vacation. We will see... . :)
