Just wondering how long it takes for the temp to register on the gauge for the transmission temp? I just switched out the dipricol gauges for the isspro and put the sending unit in the cooler line and it seems like it wont register. It is hooked up correctly--------the isspro gauges are different as they have a AMP signal box for the transmission temp and the egt temp-------my dipricol was in the transmission port and it seemed slow but it would rise after a while. I did take it out today and used a heat gun on the sending unit and it did climb to 130* so it is working I am wondering how long before fluid is at least 100* or so.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

JIM

I have a digital that reads when you turn the key, with yours starting at 100 it will stay down low for a short while and never come up much except in the summer when towing.

I just installed the new isspro's last weekend and also used the cooling line. At first I thought there was a problem with the gauge but after a closer look I realized that i had not wired power to the driver box the amp for the pyro has power leads but for the temp gauge driver you have to supply your own. Guess I should have read the directions  the gauge starts to climb after about three or four miles I drove the truck about ten miles today and it read 140. I drive freightliner dumptrucks with 8. 3's and a couple pipe cleaning machines with 5. 9's with factory gauges the seem to react very similarly.

My Autometer trans temp 140-280 gauge, mounted in the trans to cooler line, rarely moves off of the 140 mark. I have to drive in stop and go traffic for a long time before it will get to 160 or so. Summer 100+ temp and stop and go city never got over 175. On the highway almost never gets off the 140 mark at least with no load.

We did the same as far as the power goes---------EGT AMP box has the power leads and the transmission temp does not. After hooking up power and driving several miles I didnt think my gauge was working and called Isspro and they said to take it out and use heat gun on it------------We did and it works so it must be a while for it to climb and temp here is in teens now so maybe that has a effect on it as well

Thanks
