What kind of ridding do you do with your 04 250 and how would you describe the power delivery?

I ride real tight woods (1st and 2nd gear tight) and rocks, I love rocks! But I live in PA so that's what we have to ride in. I hate riding in sand. Nothing worse then riding woops all day :(

Only thing I did was raise the forks in the triple clamps around 3/4" Sounds like a lot but I like tight steering bikes. I used to race a 91 XR-600 in Enduros, tightest turning bike I ever owned.

As far as power delivery, it pulls like an electric motor all the way up to where the ECM kicks in the rev limiter at something like 14,500 RPM.

I always road big bikes, XR-600, KTM LC4-620, a couple EXC-300 (gave up on KTM after the first year with PDS) My last bike was a 2000 Husky te-610. I don't race anymore so this time I told myself I would get a small bike. I weigh 235lbs and always think "what if its not enough HP"? I stuck to my guns and brought home the 250. Its so much lighter then the other bikes and the lack of "snap your neck power" makes it so you can ride it all day and never get tired. I love it. In 04 they had a problem with the intake valves stretching but there is aftermarket stainless Steel valves that work just as good as the titanium only they last longer.

Light,Streetable and Fast

I have a dual sport ATK 605 that weighs 280 wet, and will smoke any KTM, Honda or Husky. Edelbrock used the bike as the proto type for the pumper Quick Sliver Carb, and it made over 50 on their dyno.

Selling it because I just don't ride it anymore. Fully street legal, with 3000 miles on it. WP front forks, Talon Hubs, Rotax powered. This thing flat out flys. Chrome swing arm, e-start. Never, ever been down (yes, I am that good-oh shall I say paranoid to ride it hard)

PM for details if interested. Located in Southen California.

Mmmmm, dirt bikes! My biggest addiction!

We stuffed 4 bikes in to a short bed Ford Courier, added camping gear and stuff for 4 days. That's the most I've had in a little truck.

Which hitch carrier do you use? Do you like it?

I've always tried to get my bikes street legal and hear (internet rumour) that KTM will be offering a street legal option to meet Husky. The KTM 4 stroke got a new 250 last year and when they bring out the bigger brother it would make sense to incorporate the smog stuff. The new 450X has hoses and canisters all over, 84dB exhaust and lean jetting, all of which suck power. The bike feels very flat on top although it continues to rev.

I'm holding out for new bikes until 2007, I want to get a KTM560 SMR and add another set of suspension/brakes and wheels for the dirt. If it's a good year I'll add a big bore four stroke KTM 250 in the enduro flavour for the tight stuff. Make them street legal by hook or by crook. Don't think I'll ever sell my 2 strokes.

04 KTM 525 EXC w/ 4mm overbore and a bunch of massaged hp bits - street legal

01 Service Honda CR500AF - prettiest bike I've ever owned, light and powerful

00 Gas Gas 300 EC - Mr Friendly, when the going gets ugly this is the bike you want - street legal

01 Honda XR650L - street pig

yea, my rm 125 is ported and polished, bored, bigger carb, reeds, intake, exhaust, hinson clutch, and all the other goodies to make ya hold on tight when ya crank on her :)
