Here I am

How many firefighters are in the TDR?

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

In spirit!

PCS orders took me away from the Omaha area and the Bellevue VFD (Station#1 1992-1995). While there, it was a dream come true as that was what I originally had joined the AF for (I didn't have a guaranteed fireman slot).

Someday I will get the chance again, hopefully while I can still outrun most folks to catch a truck!

Yep, Full time paid Department we are staffed by 150 paid Firefighters. I was a Volunteer for 3 years prior to getting hired on in 1975. I'm thinking about retiring in 2005, Maybe

tjlaffite, I'll just assume you meant professional CAREER firefighter, all of us (well, most) are professional, paid or volunteer

Our Dept. currently is at 18 stations and rising.

Just over 13 years paid, just under 3 years as a volunteer.

6 staffed engines, 1 ladder, 2 aid cars, (Task 125 you are lucky, just fires) 1 BC, now that winter is here we sometimes have a 3rd aid car and or a 7th engine.

I feel lucky Smartineau,

I don't even want to think of how many runs we would have doing ems calls ,I have a lot of respect for those who do. but it is so nice just answering fire calls.

The one company I run with runs a measly 200 calls a year, if I included EMS in that it would be more like 1400!

I just found this thread, sorry I'm late.

Our Vol. dept. runs about 250 calls a year.

We have 2 engines, 1 Hose tender, 1 tanker, (All Mack's) 1 rescue (international) and 2 brush trucks (1950's D50's) We run out of 2 stations.

We currently have a new rescue on order to be delivered at around the end of this year. We are also speccing out a 2nd tanker.

We also handle the medicals at an additional 400 calls a year. with one Ambulance.

Been in the dept. for 7 years. Presently an Engineer. Past lieutenant.

Dear old Dad (of course he's a CTD owner!) has been in long enough that he's retiring in 2 years.

His crowning moment (IMHO) is when he did a 'doughnut' in a deserted snow covered shopping center parking lot with a ladder truck. (not too many people know about that one!)

Like father, like son. :D
