Well, my Stock HX35-12 decided one 50 PSI pass was ok, and then let go at 49. . I would not go over 35-40... just watch out! its a beeyotch to clean out turbo guts!

A little off topic here, but I hit 38 psi on the way home tonight. I dont think I'm anywhere near 300hp, though. I was thinking around 240-250 flywheel hp. I know the lack of intercooler will hop up my boost numbers vs hp made; i. e. the 1 psi=10hp rule wont apply here. So where am I, HP wise? I know it's hard to tell without doing an actual dyno run, but I can hit the governor in 5th (84 or so) <1/4 mi on odometer. The reason I make this observation is that if I can nearly peg a 40 psi gauge with stock injectors, it wouldnt be that hard to do it with 300hp and an intercooler. would it?

Hammer,

Thanks for the info. I'm just trying to get as much knowledge as possible so I can plan my future 'breakdowns' (read that as head gasket, etc... ) Your right about the hybrid - for what it costs, it was definately worth it.

Dan, It's pretty hard to guess an HP level based on boost once a truck is modified from stock.

Yall that are pushing 40-50PSI with a Stock HX-35/12 will benefit incredibly from upgrading to a PDR 40/16. I'd dare say 100HP more, and lower EGT.
