I'm thinking about selling/trading in my 2006 SLT 2WD dually diesel with 99602 miles. Has factory Jake Brake, quad cab, never wrecked, long bed, very clean, automatic trans.

Ive heard there is a shortage of good work trucks so this might be a good time to sell. I just dont need this much of a truck anymore. All I use it for now is ocasional trips to Lowes. Its been a great truck It has towed 2 fifth wheel RVs and 2 truck campers.

Any educated guesses as to what it might be worth?

It really depends on the market where you live. Here in North Carolina, in the pediment region It could be anywhere from 5K to 25K depending on what's been done to it or if its bone stock.

You're mileage is very low. I'd assume all air and fuel components are OEM if it's a stock truck. The truck being 2WD is going to hurt you a good bit. Virgin un-modified trucks command a premium. Apples to Green Apples a SRW 3500 4x4 with an auto matching your condition and mileage I'd expect to see listed 16 - 17K+, A 2500 in the same range and maybe higher (cheaper on weight tags).

From the information you gave and the regional market I live in I'd be offering 10 or 12K, If its bone stock that's a plus but it'll need at a bare minimum an aftermarket fuel system with better filters. For example as a potential buyer I'm going to go hard and chop you at the knees for the truck being 2WD. If you want to maximize the value appeal to the buyers with the truck with features that complement it. Mention if you've got it set up for dedicated road hauling i.e. a 5th wheel hitch, flip ball, air bags, track bars, larger or aux fuel tank(s) etc.

$15K-17K is a good starting place assuming paint good, seats good, and no rust.

I can hear my local market place scoffing as I pass by an add for two 06 3500 DRW 4x2 flat beds for 17K one with a fresh engine(10.5K), the other with a built trans, new turbo and ECU (7K). Seller is downsizing their fleet.
