Prices in the area are now as high as $2. 75 and I still see trucks buying at those stations.

Some places have it for 2. 89 and some are slightly higher.

I know a Shell dealer that shows the price of 3. 49 and a Cheveron down the street from me had a price of 3. 09 last night.

$2. 53 In Albany, Or. 70mi. South of Portland. That was this morning, but I noticed it heading up on the South side of town. One station raised their price to $1. 79. I think they are feeling a little out of step down here and need to keep pace with the rest of the pack.

Here in San Diego I paid $2. 79 yesterday at an Exxon. I bought the truck in Feb. '99. Fuel was $ 0. 98/gallon. What happened? Sixty minutes aired an excellent article on coal gasification process in Montana last week. Hope we take advantage of this process. Even Leslie Stall gave it the thumbs up!

Saturday morning fueled in El Cajon, CA for 2. 76 a gallon (best I could find near home); made a road trip, came back to the same station 7 hours later, it was at 2. 80! Here we go again!!!

Seems that the terrorists have figured out that all they have to do is threaten the oil production capabilities of the OPEC countries to cause a spike in oil prices, which in turn hurts the US economy. Except for the Big Oil Boys, nothing better than jumping the price of oil for no good reason. A little extra profit never hurt anyone now did it!

I don't understand... ... ... if the oil line springs a leak in AK, how can the dealers spike thier fuel instantly... ... ... . should'nt the increase be shown from thier next purchase price and THEN passed on to us ??



I know, I know... . it don't work that-a-way... ... ... but it jumped $. 27 to $2. 75 over night.
