Wow! Gettin ready for a short vacation from Coeur D Alene to the southern coast of Oregon, Paid $2. 979 in Rathdrum, Idaho. :--)

And to think it's only going to get worse. I paid $2. 95 a gallon yesterday at a station out in the sticks but all the stations in town were at $3. 20. I won't be supprised if diesel gets up around $4. 00 a gallon over the weekend.

This was at the Safeway off MaeAnne. My wife stopped at the Arco up here and it was posted as $2. 69 for reg, but they were out. $2. 79 for midgrade on the big sign, but the pumps were over $3. The poor folks that work there are probably afraid to go outside and change the signs! Or else gave up trying to keep up.

Costco had Reg. at $2. 85 when I passed by today. People were backed up onto Harvard trying to get into the station. I parked my rig several weeks ago after buying another economy car. I use it only when necessary. I'll wait out the crisis before filling up again. Sid's is at $2. 95 today when I drove by.

Yea I could never sell my truck ;)

on a local radio chanel I heard that regular gas is $6. 00/gal. :--)in Georgia. I can't belive that. I wander what diesel goes for around there. I seen it around here for $2. 79. Finally cheeper than regular gas. Has been the opposite for a year or better untill just recently.

$3. 08 here in Bothell Wa this morning. We get all of our oil from Alaska. No hurricanes here. We're not shipping any south. Just gouging by the oil companies. This isnt the way the market is supposed to work (Big rich company comes in and buys all of the the water that the farmers depend on, and then jack the price up so the farmers lose their farms, etc to the rich company) (or in this case, oil and gas to the citizens of this country)

Ive never been able to figure out either why their can be a 20 or 30 cent difference in gas in just a couple of miles (They try to explain some of that with "zoning" which should be against the law for a commodity that everyone very lives depend on) But, evidently, it is not agains the law here in Washington for gouging. So, some of the gas stations that you suspect of gouging probably are.

#2 Hit $3. 29 near Battle Ground, Washington and about $3. 15 near Longview, Washington..... then again, it is a holiday weekend... prices should drop a bit next week,

Filled up Wednesday for $3. 099 per gallon, while out today, saw $3. 459. I'll be driving the corvette to and from work. Topped off the truck, a little over 8 gallons almost $30.

What's next?
