Yep, my dad's friend built the truck. It had originally a 400 Big block. Then swapped it out with a 429 Cobra Jet out of a '70 Police Interceptor. Fuel mileage sucked so he went and got a 6. 9L Diesel out of a '86 service truck. It didn't have a turbo or anything, just the fuel pump turned up. I think it made only about 165hp, but had plenty of torque to turn the 44's just fine down the road. I got an average of 10mpg with the diesel and C6 transmission.

thats cool. We have a family owned machine shop in elk grove viallage. My home is in Wood dale. Is it a club you guys have? maybe we should start a tdr chapter? (i dont know what tdr chapters are im guessing its a bunch of tdr members from the same area? ) if not then dont even bother with what i said . We should all meet up and go rip apart some ferds and chevys.

Not sure why you would go with leafs in the front. That's gay. I'd go with airbags, or coilovers front and rear. Airbags would be cool because they're adjustable on the fly. Coilovers are bling, especially side by side with a triple bypass shock. Personally, I think trucks that huge are worthless. They handle/drive like crap, have no power, and are unreliable. The biggest I would go on something that I actually drive is 37's. Here's a picture of my buddy's '01 on 37" BFG Krawlers.
