How much room do you have???

Been trying to get my son to ask this question on the forum, about the clearence between the cat and the cross member on the new 04. 5. He has about 1/4 ", and he says that when loaded the cat rests on the cross member, causing a banging, and is anoying to say the least. The dealer just beats around the bush on fixing it. been waiting for him to say "its normal, they all do it " So, how much clearence do you have? whats normal?.

When I had my kitty it was very close to the crossmember, about a half inch of clearance at most but it never hit. Are there any other dealers around your area, if so I would have another one look at the problem.

Thanks mattymac for your come back, we have a couple but this one is closest to him and where he bought, he talked about doing it himself but the dealer needs in put back to D. C.
